I could not fault this lovely place. I agree with all the good things said about it and add: It is great for off-season: there is a large downstairs sitting room with books and magazines for the guests and Pat built a huge log fire for us. After a cold day out we loved not having to hang around the... More

It simply could not have been better: a very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, brilliant and friendly service, computer access, even driving walkers around the Wicklow Mountains. Among the ten B+B’s where I stayed this year Stirabout Lane is definitely the best. Even the most critical tourist would find nothing to blame. More

We stayed here before beginning our walk along the Wicklow Way. Nice town, very friendly hostess, comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Try the blueberry and hazelnut pancakes! More

A VERY well run B+B, right in town, with clean rooms, beautiful TV room, free ( and blazing fast) wifi, even a computer to use. Beautiful garden out back and Rathdrum is a nice size town, with good walking nearby. The breakfast was excellent and Daphne very helpful. More

We stayed for a week in July and have no complaints at all. Daphne made us feel very welcome and was always friendly, polite and helpful. The room was lovely, very comfortable and ( most importantly for me ) very clean. The room was properly serviced every day and we had lots of fresh towels. Breakfast was plentiful and we... More

Arrived on a Friday evening after a long drive to be welcomed into Daphne and Pat's home as if we were family. First impressions were of a cosy, warm, friendly home. The bedroom didn't disappoint either. It was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with no expense spared. Shower was gorgeous, didn't want to get out. We spent a very relaxing... More

My wife and I stayed at the Stirabout B&B 2/1/10. The room and inn were lovely and the hostess, Daphne was wonderful. The biggest problem we had with the Inn was the location. The Inn is on the mail road through town and is literally right on the street. There is maybe a three foot wide sidewalk between the building... More

We stayed at Stirabout Lane on our very first night in Ireland. The room was very nice and we had a great sleep, after a very jet-lagged day. It is set on the main drag of sleepy Rathdrum, and we parked in a park down the road. The hosts were friendly and nice, albeit a bit frazzled during breakfast. WiFi... More
