Beautiful location right on the beach. We stayed here on the way down to Queenstown, and it really broke up the trip. Not much else around here, but certainly worth staying if you need somewhere to lay your head. Restaurant was great, dinner was fresh and simple, not a lot of people there in Sept but still a good stop... More

This hotel was nice, there was nothing particularly special about it, our room was clean with a nice view. Got a Wotif special price, which made it reasonable, however the normal price is high for what is available. Didnt eat in the restaurant because we were looking for a meal with vegis, and there were not many on the menu.... More

This hotel is in an incredible position, right on the beach by the Punakaiki rocks..quite spectacular. But I was dismayed to find my room was on the other side of the road, and despite having put in a special request for a sea view, the room was right at the bottom and practically 'submerged' in vegetation. However, when I mentioned this... The hotel location is perfect for anyone who plan to visit Punakaiki's famous attraction. You can walk for just 5 min. to see the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes. Not just that, The hotel itself is very nice and you must try to have dinner in hotel's restaurant. I give 10 out of 10 for my dining here. It is one... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel. The rooms were very nice, clean and we had a great view. At first we were a little disappointed because we were across the highway from the main lodge, but it turned out that the view was fantastic from our balcony and access to the main lodge area and beach is easy with... We stayed here whilst enroute from Milford Sound to Franz Josef as part of our tour. The hotel is in a very nice quiet beach front location and we had a great sea view from our room, and also from the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and had everything we needed for just a... More

I was surprised to find a hotel of this quality in a fairly remote location. Efficient front desk, comfortable rooms, great location. Dinner menu quite limited in range but very tasty. I left a jacket behind and they found it and couriered it to me with no fuss.

We stayed two nights at this resort. Its location is ideal, right on the beach, on the Tasman Sea, near the world famous “pancake rocks” and blowholes at Dolomite Point. The ocean views are spectacular. The pancake rocks are easy walking distance from the resort. There is also a collection of great hiking trails right there, and we enjoyed a... More

We arrived late in the afternoon and got a good rate i.e.,less than we had paid for a campgrounds motel room the day before. We had a standard room with a balcony overlooking the road and the sea beyond. There were two double beds a double ring hob, microwave, toaster and a fridge. There was a guest laundry on site.We ate... More

The beds were comfy and the rooms stylish but basic. Needed plates and knives as we wanted to eat some fruit before dinner. Bedside table had chipped paint but room was spotless and pleasant with a lovely view. We were glad not to have eaten dinner in the restaurant as breakfast was disappointing and pricey. They had no waffles, saying... More
