We stayed at Malihom for 4 nights of our honeymoon before heading off to Thailand, if you are looking for a secluded, luxury, romantic and unforgettable experience you should definitely choose Malihom. The setting is absolutely unreal with views like neither of us had seen before. On arrival the staff were extremely welcoming showing us to our room and offering... More

Penang has a mixture of old china and breathtaking jungle scenary so never a moment to get bored on this island and malhom is simply breathtaking for anyone that enjoys serenity peace and nature. compared to spending mega bucks in europe for a concrete jungle in spain its well worth the trip.

I would actually give this 3.5 stars if it was possible. We found this place very relaxing and peaceful especially as for 2 out of the 3 days we were the only ones there. The room was good (we stayed in Aloun) with a nice outdoor bathroom. Views are fantastic. Staff were very pleasant and tried really hard to please... More

Loved every minute at Malihom! What a lovely setting; every little thaihouse is completely wonderful and the burmese staff charming - no need to hesitate about this place!

We have been travelling in Asia for the past 3 weeks from Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and final destination Singapore. Stayed at various places but nothing compares to Malihom, we were surprised by what was offered - it was heavenly from the serenity of the estate, the rooms, food and the service. Vietnam & Cambodia was a haphazourd, crowded and one... More

We chose Malihom after doing all our research - TripAdvisor reviews etc etc., and sure enough, the setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning - 2km up a 12-hairpin single track road, on top of a mountain with magnificent views to both East and West. Sadly that's where the magic stopped for us. On arrival, staff took our bags, and... More

We stayed at Malihom on 12th Feb for our earlier valentine's day celebration. It was a slow and lazy Sunday. We were the only guest in the house. The management was very kind to fulfilled my request of "We want a barn with open air bath tub". The Barn - Aloun We checked in to Aloun. The barn was BEAUTIFUL... More

We arrived at Malihom after an arduous journey from Langkawi - but we had a fabulous welcome! Even though it was late, our hosts made us a bespoke dinner (even though it was after midnight!). The following days were filled with fabulous food, absolute relaxation, and hosts that could not do more for us. The view of Penang was incredible... More

Malihom is an older property. It is owned by a well-placed Penang family who built it as a getaway for family and friends. Since 2007, paying guests have been welcomed. After the hustle and traffic of Georgetown it is certainly a welcome respite. There are 9 individual cabins surrounding a central building which houses the kitchen and dining areas, reception... We were at Malihom for 3 nights and we experienced the best hospitality ever in Malaysia. The service is excellent and always with a smile. It's best to go on weekdays as more and more people are getting to know about this place. On our first day, we were the only ones there and had the entire place to ourselves.... More
