Haven't stayed in a B&B where you don't get an ensuite for a long time (there are some available but that wasn't obvious on booking, so check) but the exceptionally friendly owners, clean and comfy rooms and fab breakfast made that irrelevant.

In the sunny Isle of Cumbrae the Ambler is a well run bed and breakfast. It is in an ideal location for lovely walks and is central to everything.
