Also stayed here on the Travelzoo deal. Hotel in a fantastic location, excellent for exploring the lovely peak district. The room was lovely and clean and air con a huge bonus as we stayed there on an extremely hot day. The hotel was very busy when we stayed and unfortunately we were offered either 6 pm or 9.30pm for our... More

Stayed for two nights, had a reasonable stay and a room that was miles from reception. The room was clean and quiet. The hall ways are starting to look a bit tatty, badly worn carpet and poor decor. Almost feels like a throw back to the 1980's. Bar and food is expensive and most people went across the road to... More

Stayed here for a wedding, the staff were very accomodating when i requested to check in slightly earlier as i was with the wedding party. The rooms were spacious, but the room we had was so far away from the reception it seemed to take forever to get back to the bar/reception. The drinks were so expensive so i was... More

The hotel overall - perfectly fine for business stays, but for leisure stays it's a bit bland The staff - for the most part friendly and helpful Breakfast - plenty of choice so long as you get there early, we got there for 8:40am and there wasn't much left. We ordered poached eggs from the kitchen one morning, which took... More

We chose this venue as it was centrally located and we were meeting up with friends from around the country. We had all paid £75 for dinner, bed and breakfast for a double room and a complimentary bottle of wine - on each of the nights that we stayed. We noticed that other guests were taking their bottles of wine... More

A four star hotel with two star food. The hotel was pleasant enough and the recption staff were very efficient, we had a good sized room with tea and coffee, trouser press etc, including a free bottle of wine! We also had a dead spider on the floor for our arrival that stayed with us for the duration of our... More

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and always found it excellent. The staff especially Laura on reception (who even recognised us from previous stays) are great and cannot do enough for you. We have stayed in both excecutive and standard rooms and found both to be very clean but for the extra supplement it is better to... More

We booked for 2 nights this last weekend and had a wonderful time. The hotel is welcoming, very clean and offered us great value for money. The public areas are very well appointed and our room was very clean although the decor and facilities could do with a little updating. The spa facility is what made our decision to stay... More
