Good choice but as there was no lift arrangement substantial discomfort walking up and down the room location. The hotel has no vehicles for dropping or pick up. They bluntly tell you to go onto the road to hail a cab! The reception staff were very cooperative as were the other staff. Food was xcellent . Rooms were warm, comfortable.

I got a very warm welcome at the reception. The service was top Notch,the attached Bar excellent. They asked us for our favorite dishes and cooked us one of most tasty Dishes including the best fish we had ever had.The food was very scrumptious.

It was a very bad experience to stay at Orange village resort, Gangtok, though this village resort is situated at very nice place with good view of hills & Tista river but it is very poorly maintained, staff is not very trained, you can have a repeated menu in your breakfast & dinner, you are suppose to pay 2% extra... We stayed at the place during our honeymoon trip and after covering Darjeeling and kalimpong . We were provide a luxury room and the view was awesome of the rivers flowing right down the hills ..As per name there were various Trees with orange on them :) The food was ok even for vegetarians , but the candle light dinner... The room had a lovely view, hygienic place, meals were excellent, also their service. The staff at the reception and in the dining hall were courteous and efficient, it was a pleasure to be a guest there.
