The best thing about it is that you can find a place of relaxation just a few blocks from a traditional space, full of life and moved on the weekends. It has a plain, colorful facade that promises but once you enter to the place you can find a traditional Mexican dining, isolated from external noise and with a breeze... More

This little place, about 8 rooms, is a family run house near centre of this "arty" part of Guadalajara. We received a warm genuine reception, the breakfast was fine, delightful garden - strongly commended.

I currently live and work as a teacher in Guadalajara, and have always seen Talaquepaque as a day trip destination. When a four day weekend presented itself, I wanted a place to rest and relax that allowed me to enjoy the dining and cultural pleasures the city boasted at a more relaxed pace. Casa del Retono was a perfect fit.... More

As I write this, I'm actually still sitting on the terrazza, enjoying my last morning coffee here at Casa de Retoño. I live in Guadalajara, Jalisco and though it may seem silly that I took a 40 minutes taxi ride to stay in this B&B for a few days, as a small get away with friends, I have thoroughly enjoyed... More

About three blocks from Tlaquepaque's walking street Independencia, the Casa del Retono (Bed and Breakfast) provides a peaceful respite from the busy centre. A peaceful large garden is a great place to sit in the afternoon sun. The rooms are small but clean and confortable. There is plenty of hot water and an abundant supply of thick towels. Luis and... I just came back from two months in Mexico and was very sad to leave. My stay in this Casa helped ease the pain. I only wish I had stayed here when I first flew into Guadalajara, rather than staying in downtown Guadalajara. I much preferred Tlaquepaque, which also happens to be close to the airport and bus station. The... More

Great location and warm and friendly owners. I have been staying at La Casa del Retono for 7 years on a yearly basis and would go nowhere else. The rooms are colorfully decorated with traditional Mexican tiles used in all the bathrooms and the beds always very comfortable. One thing I appreciate is that the linens and towels are of... More

A nice clean place close to the center of Talaqapaque. Friendly owners. Our room had a balcony overlooking a larrge back courtyard which had a pet rabbit and a very old dog. We only stayed one night but it was good value for what we received. The breakfast was basic and not fancy. The bed was marginallycomfortable. It was a... More

we stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms. The place is very primitave in accomodations and the rooms are rather creepy for the price of about $85.00 per night. but the host is very very nice and tried very hard to make things pleasant and is very helpfull. I dont usually write a review with so many "very's" but she... More

A lovely, peaceful B & B that was recommended by friends and did not disappoint! Stayed for a week, partly with my family, and a few days on my own - both were very comfortable. Room off of garden was cool at night, even in May when we visited. Walking distance from town center, market and language school. Family that... More
