We stayed for one night. The room is fine. Comfortable with all the necessities. But this isn't the kind of place you stay in your room. The front bar is the way every bar should be. Good Craig, lovely people, great music and Guinness. Food is also very good. A lovely place to go and relax for a day or... More

Stayed here Friday and Saturday nights, for the music. Room adequate given we were hardly in it, it had all necessary things, and very comfy bed. Great atmosphere in Front Bar, staff are just great, food excellent (chowder superb, fish dishes also), and mix of locals and visitors make it a true pub experience. Restuarant relaxing and busy, Guinness superb.... More

Stayed in McGrorys on a Saturday Night in February with my wife. Had a very enjoyable relaxing stay. Our room was nothing special but more than adequate. Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious - beautiful fresh fish. Can't recommend the chowder enough! And the breakfast the next morning was top class. The beach is only about 10minutes walk away... Stayed here last weekend for a romantic weekend with my wife! We had both heard great reports about the food and the music, and needless to say we weren't disappointed ( the chowder was delicious) Fantastic hospitality and a great hotel for a relaxing weekend away! See you next year!

We were a group of 11, aged 25-75 meeting at McGrorys on a Saturday evening. Staff was attentive, efficient and welcoming. Dinner was served hot in a timely manner. It was wonderful! Live music started around 10PM. True Irish hospitality. Truly a lovely spot!

We stayed here for one night. When we arrived, it was warm, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful!. We had a lovely room over the front door, which was really big (a double and single), and a table and chairs. It was clean, warm and comfortable. We had an evening meal, which was good (not fantastic),but certainly was... More

I run a local B & B and regularly send my guests to McGrorys's to eat. I have had nothing but excellent reports on the food, service and music. I regularly eat at McGrory's and cannot recommend it highly enough. I particularly enjoy the traditional music and other music events in the back room. I went to CJam in the... More

Went to McGrorys with family and friends a few weeks ago and can honestly say it was the worst experience. Staff were extremely unfriendly and very un-child friendly . Food was terrible cheap, frozen food, at a time when all restaurants are offering special offers this place offers nothing. Pub area was very cold and miserable. Staff never smile as... More

Plain and simple...do not eat here. The food is terrible as is the service. I did not see the staff smiling or having any interaction with the customers once....they were awful at their job. This is the first time that I have ever left a restaurant without tipping. The food was bland, tasteless and expensive. Sirloin steak that was Irish... More

I have stayed here before and eaten plenty of times here so on my own recommendation I returned for a meal with my family. What a mistake, the food was unbelievably tasteless, processed, lumpy(spuds), dry, dead(salad) It may have been pub grub, but they have a nerve serving up this rubbish and costly rubbish it is too. Three burgers and... More
