Traveled w/ one friend and my 2 sons 18 and 14 yrs. of age. Stayed in the Eclipse Suite. The size was perfect for us. 3 bedrooms/privacy for all. Spacious. 2 baths definately a plus. With the exception of the building in back of us...the view was great. The pool area was built in good taste. Though the pool water... More

We spent 7 nights at Casa Monarcha (Eclipse suite) with my Wife's parents and our two small children 2 / 4 and we had a great time! The pool was perfect for the kids as the entire pool is 4.5 feet deep with a small separated part that was 2.5 feet deep. The beach was also calm enough for them... More

I almost did not want to review as I do not want C.M. to be booked when we want to return. We will return and I could not imagine staying elsewhere. The Medina family is so kind and generous and we had the most memorable vacation in their beautiful apartment. The only negative part was that it was TOO short!!... More

I was pretty leery of Chacala when I first arrived, but ended up falling in love with it. Casa Monarca is a wonderful oasis! We felt so at home there. The Medina family is wonderful and make you feel like family. The accommodations are comfortable and it was great being able to use the grill. We felt like we had... More

We stayed at Casa Monarca for the second time this past December. Again, we had the most wonderful, relaxing four days of our trip through Mexico for the holidays. The apartments include a small kitchen and are very clean, comfortable and well appointed with beautiful Mexican tile. Casa Monarca is just steps away from the beach and Chacala's "downtown," which... More

This is absolutely the best place that I've ever stayed, ever. The bungalow itself (one of two on the ground floor of the house) was beautiful, well-kept, and had all sorts of delightful amenities, including a full kitchen, a beautiful pool, and a wonderful roof with a view of the whole bay. The hosts, Kate and Luis Medina, are extremely... More

Casa Monarca is a wonderful place to truly 'get away from it all'. The accomodations are clean, cheery and comfortable. The owners, Luis & Kate, have ensured that the guest bungalos are well appointed - complete with necessary kitchen tools to make daily meals that can be enjoyed in the eat-in kitchen or poolside, to the branded guest soaps. The... More

I stayed at Casa Monarca the winter of 2008. It is one of the most wonderful and relaxing experiences I've ever had. My hosts, Kate and Luis Medina attended to every need and are so gracious and charming! The apt. I stayed in is cheerful, spotless and beautifully appointed with all the comforts of home. The deck on top of... More

I stayed at Casa Monarca for 3 weeks in Jan. 2007, and I wished I could have stayed 3 more. Kate, Luis and their lovely daughters made me feel so welcome and at home when I had to leave I actually felt "seperation anxiety". With my very limited spanish it was great the family was bilingual and willing to help... More

Hello, I stayed at Casa Monarca for the whole month of February, having had it recommended to me by good friends in Chacala. The building is new and beautiful, and both of the bungalows are bright, clean, private, nicely decorated and well maintained. The pool is wonderful for a dip, and the views from the rooftop terrace are incredible. But those... More
