Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good location, apartment we were in was good had everything we required. As we came for a family reunion/ wedding with multiple families staying at the complex. Unfortunately we had to walk on eggshells around the residents 1. Kids being approached and asked what room they are in 2. Kids told to stop splashing and playing while in pool 3. Pool rules over the top 4. Unable to utilise balcony after being texted about noise, all conversations can be heard by all in complex. 5. Being stalked and watched while using the bbq area. 6 Aircraft noise from 6 am to 11 pm, directly under flight path. 7. Not a family friendly accommodation

Hotel's Favourite
We made a last-minute booking for two nights so it was a case of what is still available at a reasonable price. Sanctuary Lakes had a room so I snapped it up and in hindsight, it turned out to be a good choice. A very lovely welcome from the new owners, a quiet, spacious two-bedroom apartment where everything worked the first time (doesn't always happen!) and time to recover from our drive from Victoria - perfect. We had to leave early the next morning so I dropped off the keys in the drop box and didn't have time to wish the new owners well for their new endeavour in person. Hope it all works out for you and thank you for your hospitality.

We booked this stay in July 2022 for the three bed ground floor unit with 1 queen and four singles and aircon. I had the booking ref and screenshot of my booking. Unfortunately when we arrived the new managers said they had no trace of my booking and we were given the top floor unit with a shrug of the shoulders and told they were fully booked. I am quite elderly and have bad knees so i found this quite difficult for the week we were there. I couldn't go to the pool as often as I would have liked as it was just too much to do all those flights of stairs several times a day. To add to this the aircon was broken when we arrived and was never fixed. This too was hard in 30 plus degrees. I did receive an email from the manager giving credit if $250 off our next stay as they don't do refunds but it was so hot my daughter in law took our grandson home early as the heat in the apartment was too much. This was disappointing as we had'nt seen our family in three years If you book the ground floor check before you pay for it that they have given you what you ask for. Sadly I didn't as I had faith in the booking I'd made.

Apartments are right on the jet path into Coolangatta Airport, from 6AM till 11PM you will get the jet noise & smell of jet exhaust. Balcony overlooks the settling pond from the Currumbin bird sanctuary next door, open the door the stench is unbearable, close the door & you swelter as there is no A/C & the one ceiling fan is useless.

We first visited 5 years ago and when returning to the Gold Coast we decided to stay here again as the location is excellent. Close enough to all the attractions but in a quieter area. Eddie the manager gave us the 3 bedroom ground floor unit which we'd requested and it was a great choice. Really well equipped with everything you could posdibly need. Very clean, excellent quality linens and very good value for money. We stayed for 10 nights and were sad to leave. The pool and spa area is very well maintained and as we were there outside school holidays most weekdays we had the pool to ourselves. Excellent underground secure parking and an added bonus was 2 parking spaces for this unit. Next time we're on the Gold Coast we'll be sure to stay here again

We stayed for 3 nights with our boys and loved every minute, Didn’t want to stay in a hotel because having 3 boys they are full of energy and the were able to ride scooters and swim without any complaints, So peaceful and beautiful will definitely be staying again

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor. Great pool, very clean and tidy apartment, and Edward the host was very welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary Lake and would gladly stay again. Easy 5 min stroll to the beach and local cafe's.

Edward the complex manager was fantastic and very helpful. Our 2BR unit was decorated in a modern 'beachy' style with a balcony overlooking the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary so were visited daily by many Lorikeets and other birds. Loved the extensive beautiful tropical gardens throughout the complex, the large pool, heated spa pool plus large shallow pool for small children. A short walk to Currumbin Beach and cafes. Tugun is the closest shopping centre. We would return. No lifts so not suitable for immobile or elderly people.

These apartments are well laid out and in a good position to the beach. I believe the best time to stay here is in the summer as in July the apartment gets no sun. The check was fantastic and easy. Contact direct for the best price
