Stayed there over 20 years ago when the place was new. Still all the same decor, except now warn out. No BBQ area in the grounds (big let down). Dreadfully appointed. Furniture acquired either in op shop or roadside pickup. Unclean at start. Broken beer bottles on balcony. Dirty pillows and slips. Ancient cutlery. The 2B & 2bath room was better than the pictures on the website. Excellent views and location. Played tennis, swam in both pools, used the spa and gym and had great service from our hosts. Finally and website that accurately described the facility. Will stay there again -Worth every penny!

The location of the Contessa is excellent. A block to the beach, walking distance to Tedder Avenue precinct and a short drive to Sea World. My 3 young kids enjoyed both the heated indoor pool and huge outdoor pool. The 3 bedroom apartment was excellent and well equiped with fantastic views. Staff were friendly and helpful.
