Broadbeach is a nice location and less built up than Surfers. The Talisman is set just off the beach with uninterrupted views of the ocean.( You're not looking around buildings to get a glimpse of the sea). If you want the sun on your room ask for north facing. This was our second time staying at the Talisman and I would'nt consider staying anywhere else on the Gold Coast. We were on the 7th floor, Unit 22, facing the beach (NE).
