After traveling the long flight from Canada to Christchurch, we were looking for a quiet place to unwind, relax and do some walking and exploring. The one hour drive from Christchurch was easy. While the lodge is older it has been recently taken over and rennovated in the past year by a young couple, Toni & Dean, who were absolutely... More

My husband and I have been walking the length of New Zealand on the Te Araroa Trail. It was wonderful to walk off the trail after a very long, tiring day and into a warm welcome at this lodge. Our accommodation was perfect in an ensuite unit, and Toni and Dean were both extremely helpful. They even let us use... More

We escaped Christchurch for a "last minute" night stay in lake Coleridge lodge and were very happy of our choice. The place is very comfortable with all possible amenities. The evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. But of all, the best are the owner's kindness. They are always available to show you the best places and things to... More

Toni and Dean and great hosts, friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, especially dinner in the evening. Superb!! One of the days we had a packed lunch... More

In late November wife and I were heading down the South Island via the Inland route and fortunately chose the Lake Coleridge Lodge for a stop over for two nights R&R. What a delightful surprise. We did not want to leave. This Lodge has it all. It deserves the highest 110% recommendation. We need to qualify our comments by admission... More

We recently stayed two nights at Lake Coleridge Lodge - this used to be a hostel for electricity workers and now is a lovely, quiet and very comfortable lodge, surrounded by lovely gardens with views of the surrounding mountains and lake. The lodge offers an excellent value package of dinner bed and breakfast. The rooms are lovely - they have... More
