While in NZ we stayed at 5 Top 10 Holiday Parks around the south island. I was very impressed with them! For those from the U.S. this is similar to the KOA campground chain there. These for the most part were even nicer than many of those. That being said this stop was maybe not as nice as the others.... More

We are coming to the end of a tour around the North & South Island staying at most Top10s with a motorhome. Many were well below par so coming to this smallish site we weren't expecting much. This is a smallish holiday park with a "cosy", homely feel to it. It is surrounded by trees which keep it pretty sheltered. The amenities are up to date, clean and tidy. We found this poor value for money. The park itself wasn't as nice some of the top 10 parks that we've been to. The motel room was basic - we've stayed in much nicer hotels chains for less. Free wifi was one positive. Not a lot to do in Fairlie itself.

We stayed here as the first night of of our campervan holiday around the South island. Lovely quiet location but not the cleanest of Top 10's but as always, good value for money. The shower block was definitely in need of some modernisation.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Rugby World Cup trip and found it a perfect secluded hideaway. Used it as a base to visit Mount Cook and the surrounding area.
