Arthur's Pass is the best place to see Kea which we were very keen to do (and were not disappointed). Accomodation is pretty limited in Arthur's pass so we stayed here for one night before moving on to Christchurch. The Good: Very cheap - for the size of the cabin its excellent value Current owner was nice (although there was... More

Excellent 2 bedroom accommodation for family with 2 kids. Warm, comfortable and complete with kitchenette. Free wifi and helpful friendly service. Don't reccomend eating at the local cafe/restaurant though. Food isnt great and it is expensive. Next time we would take own food or try the pub. We stayed when it was pouring rain and didn't get cabin fever. Would... More

A nice little place that seems more like a mountain cottage than a hotel room. Comfortably holds 4 adults with the queen bed adjacent to the living room and the separate bedroom. The train does pass through town, but unlike others we never heard it. Not cheap but there are limited options in Arthur's Pass

We stayed for a night on the way to Christchurch to catch a flight back home. The cabins are perfect, cosy and quaint with plenty of heating and plenty of blankets on the beds for when the weather turns cold. It is not far to the town and we ate at the Wobbly Kea. The train line is just across... More

Affordable simple accommodation. Shared a queen bed which was comfortable. Room was well heated (weather was pretty awful). A 10 minute walk to the shop/restaurants. Very helpful owner who found out for us re road conditions/closures due to the bad weather.

we had booked this for an overnight stay before a mid morning flight home, as we were doing a long drive from queenstown up the west coast and did not think we would make it to christchurch in time. as it turned out the kids all wished we could have stayed longer. the room was cosy and the gas fire... We enjoyed a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The accommodation was spacious with a combined lounge/kitchen with separate bathroom and bedroom. It was all very clean and warm. It is an older fibro building with parking right at the door. It is just over a kilometre into the town for food and petrol. The train line is just across the... More

There were 3 adults and we stayed 2 nights from 3 Nov 2012 to 5 Nov 2012. We choose a room with gas burner and it came in handy. Although it was Spring heading into Summer, we really needed the heater as it snowed both nights we were there. The room was large enough. The King sized bed was located... More

We stayed here for 1 night and were charmed by this delightful homely cabin. Very comfortable and the location was beautiful. As they were quiet we were given the choice and invited just to look and pick the one we wanted. Everything there that we needed, and the manager was so helpful and friendly which made us glad we were... More

I cannot fault this motel. We stayed in a cabin with 2 double beds - one bed was in the main living area, the other in a private bedroom. There was also a sofa with tv and dvd player, fully equipped kitchen including tea & coffee and immaculate bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. There was a heat pump in... More
