Had a very comfortable night at Purple Patch. Anne and Ken were very accommodating, even to the extent of providing a chauffeur service to and from a local concert and home baking for post concert supper - both much appreciated. Ken was also very helpful in providing driving directions for our subsequent day in Chriistchurch.

We had a lovely stay at The Purple Patch Lavender Farm. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful night away, very relaxing. We even bought some things from the Lavender shop. . .am loving my new handcreme. The kids loved their 'one-eyed cantabrian' wheat bags.

We got stranded in Queenstown recently with much snow causing cancellation of flights. Thus we had to drive up to Picton, opting to stay the night north of Christchurch, in Amberley. For us bed was too soft. No en suite a minor moan. But hospitality more than made up for this. Warm welcome especially at short notice. Sorry to hear about Rusty. Always sad to lose a loved pet. Our hosts were very accomidating, including good travel advice. Home was clean, neat, nicely furnished. Surrounding gardens and lawns were beautiful.
