We have just returned from a weekend break in a kestrel lodge booked through hoseasons. The lodges are fantastic and the hot tub a real treat, we thought the cost was very reasonable for the level of accomodation - log cabin very clean, had all mod cons and was very warm even though outside weather was bad. Only downside we...

My wife and I stayed here in late September, and actually wrote a review on this website, saying how lovely it was, and that we would recommend it. Well I'm afraid our opinion has drastically changed. We enjoyed our September stay so much that we decided to come back, and it seems things have gone downhill, quickly. Firstly the cleanliness...

We stayed in a Caravan through Hoseasons which allowed us to take our pet dog and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the caravan. It was not complete luxury but certainly well above average and the location within the park was brilliant. Check in was quick and we were in the caravan within 5 minutes. The club house is...

My partner and I stayed at this golf club/hotel just over a year ago and enjoyed our stay, so decided to come back again this year whilst visiting family in the area. It really has come on leaps and bounds. Firstly it is a stunning location, with great surroundings. Our room was very clean and spacious, and our bed very...

All of the posts on here don't mention the new lodges which is understandable since they are new this year. We stayed in a Kestrel lodge for a week in September, the lodges are new and have that great pine smell, very spacious and light, great balcony from the main bedroom to just sit and gaze at the view over...

This place really needs to decide what it wants to be: either it's a golf and country club (in which case it needs to smarten up a bit) or it's a caravan/holiday park (in which case it needs to improve its facilities for families). At the moment it seems to be dabbling in both markets and - if the number...

Food was excellent. Good menu, well presented and not over-priced.
Staff friendly & helpful.
Lovely views in very peaceful surroundings.
However, the whole place was rather shabby, dated & run down - in definite need of brightening up. Even day to day maintenance could be improved eg tiling and bath surround mouldy and unpleasantly stained.
Outside bar area: Furniture -...

Stayed here on business trip as couldnt get a booking anywhere else. Rooms a bit 'tired' looking but spotlessly clean and of a great size. Loved the kitchenette area complete with toaster, microwave and fridge and glasses, cups, plates, cutlery all provided. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff (even arriving in a flash when I had a problem...
