If you want to get away from modern hotels this may be for you but it does lack the facilities. The restaurant is an overpriced gastro pub where we were the only ones eating, the bar was also empty whilst other pubs in the village however were busy. The lack of locals says it all. Avoid the ravioli as 4... More

Our room, no. 12 was very poor. The main light was was a halogen spot hanging from an inappropriate ceiling fitting. The only other lighting was 2 bedside lights that were to weak to read by. The first night, there was no heating, despite freezing outside temperatures and an obvious lack of insulation. (The dining room was also freezing at... More

Myself and my wife stayed here on Saturday and enjoyed our stay neither of us have ever stayed at an inn before usually opting for hotels however we found this to be quite nice. Check-in was easy although slightly strange as the reception desk is at the side of the bar. When we entered our room (room 8) it was... More

On first looks this seemed quite reasonable until i looked a bit more closely. Carpets are very well worn, threadbare and stained. The bathroom has clearly not been done at all, used soap in the shower, dirty bath and a bin full of the previous occupants waste! Fancied a brew before I went to bed but cannot use the kettle... Sorry to say but this hotel is extremely poor and I wouldn't stay again, the staff were very friendly and polite however the overall experience tainted this and I couldn’t wait to leave. I should have known better as things didn't get off to a good start I contacted the hotel directly to book a room and was advised they... More

Myself and my partner are currently staying in one of the rooms in the hotel, this is our second night and I can honestly say that it is lovely. The layout of the downstairs confused me a little when we first walked in as the reception desk is at the end or the bar in a little room off there... More

had a lovely time here, bought as a gift for a one night stay. The little town of Chalfont was a pleasure to walk around in the spring afternoon, and ATM, a newsagents etc amenities are close by. The pub is very well maintained, the food in the restaurant was very good and the dtaff very friendly (everything was "no... More

My partner and I stayed here on a Friday night on route to Brighton and we had a great night. Very warm welcome on arrival and on a cold night the roaring fire in the bar was a real luxury. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the food was great - I ate from the specials menu and... More

We have stayed in many different hotels and used this as a stop over. Our experiences have been many and varied and so we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were excellent and the rooms were clean. They have obviously been refurbished in the recent past. The heating had packed up that day, but these things happen and... More
