Prices are terrific; rooms felt modern although showers are small. Proximity to St. Mary of the Angels is the key, if you are going for the spirit of St. Francis. We absolutely loved our two nights there and will always stay there in the future. Friendly and incredibly helpful staff, convenient to everything, absolutely wonderful.
This is a good value conference centre near Assisi station. The rooms are pleasant but have the smallest shower I have ever encountered - they were obviously added on the cheap! Food was fine and there is a constant turnover of enthusiastic pilgrims, The bar shuts at 11pm, and they only have Italian channels on TV,
Good place to stay to get to all sites associated with St Francis. Close to the train station.
The spirit of St. Francis is always present at Domus Pacis making me and my companions feel welcome. The personnel at the reception desk are helpful and kind, always ready to answer questions and offer directions. Stayed here for four days, attending a Conference. The hotel is in a lovely location near the beautiful S. Maria Degli Angeli, well situated for shops and coffee bars and a bus ride from the Old Town.
Rooms are beautifully clean but with some of the smallest bathrooms I have ever seen. I did have to ask to be moved...
