Koh Ngai was now more touristy than we thought and wanted. Pro: Free wifi (only in the restaurant & lobby area though). Generous upgrade from Sun Maya (cheapest room) to Sea Maya (seaview room). White sand beach in front of the resort. Con: LEAKS! in the bedroom and bathroom. There were sounds of rats running around the whole night. Poor... More

We stayed here for 8 days in july 2010 , 6 adults, 5 youth and 3 kids . We loved this resort , the bungalow and the beach was perfect for kids - The breakfast was a little bit poor. We had massage every day with the most perfect view The coral reef right outside the resort is very good... More

Very beautiful and pristine island, and the sandy beach strip is just in front of Mayalay. We had stayed in the Lay Maya room, it had all the usual, except no TV nor bathtub. However, since we were always swimming or lounging in the sand, a basic clean bungalow would do, and Mayalay did the job. Food and drinks were... More

Farly overpriced resort, absolutly not worth the money. Many dogs on the beach but no staff at all on the beach, they do not clean up the beach. Quality of breakfast was minimal, only eggs with no tast, dry ham, and a tastless sausage. Worst AB i ever had in Thailand. Restaurant is poor and out dated. Broken and damaged... More

Stayed in seaview bungalow which had a beautiful view. The bungalow had air con, mini bar, but no tv (not that we missed it). The resort was well maintained and had really friendly staff. Pinky even helped us when we arrived back in koh lanta (even though she had taken the trip as a short break from work). Resturant food... More

the mayalay is a nice resort with good value for money. We stayed for days in june, which is the monsoon season. It was very quiet, which was exactly what we were after... don't go there if you like the crowds of phuket or phiphi! the staff friendly, and relatively helpfull. The bungalow is nice and clean, pretty big with... More

A nice Island, but a bad management which don't care about customers need, our i-phone get robbed by the cleaning Team in our room while we left it for 2 hours without vigilance, and nobody cares about. The Breakfast without any fresh juices, the food full of flies..... Overpriced! It has other nice alternatives on the Island.

Mayalay Resort lies on the beach of Koh Ngai just front "Koh Rock" Staff is Friendly and helpful,Buffet Breakfast is simple but good. On the beach you will found enough restaurant to stay a week without going twice at the same (food at Mayalay is also good and not expensive) Bungalows are getting holdies, specially the bathroom and need to be... We loved this place and the island. The bungalow itself is very simple and clean. Don’t expect any luxury here as this island does not offer any luxury properties. The breakfast was ok and could have been much better. The hotel didn’t offer any excursion as their boat was currently “broken” but as this island is so small they suggest... More

We stayed with 2 kids for 5 days on the island Koh Ngai (Koh Hai). The island is beautiful and a paradise for those who look for peace and quiet, but can also get att little bit boring since there is noting else, no "real" life going on. Mayalay resort is beatiful with bamboo huts, and are well placed in... More
