Just spent a half day and night at this Farmstay in the beautiful Akaroa area. A little hard to find but after our arrival Murray and Sue greeted us like we were old friends. After settling in, we took a walk on the Farm to see Paua Bay a little closer and it is certainly worth it After our walk,... More

Paua Bay Farmstay was our last stop on our 3 week tour of New Zealand and one of the best! Beautiful, peaceful, secluded, location, comfortable room and in Sue & Murray the warmest, friendliest most welcoming hosts you could wish for. Sue's cooking is delicious and sharing meals in the lovely farmhouse kitchen, we were made to feel like part... More

The room was cosy and it was great to wake up in bed with a sunrise view. It was a enjoyable farm stay experience with Sue being a good host. Delightful breakfast and scones! Sue went an extra mile to pack hard boiled eggs and sandwiches for us when she knew that we would be doing a long drive after... More

My wife and I spent 4 days here. One advantage of the jet lag was that we saw the sun rise over the pacific whilst lying in bed! The facilities are most comfortable, the setting is quite beautiful, and there is walking, golf, the seaside and just relaxing with good food and drink. The Murray's are very relaxed and relaxing... We booked well in advance to celebrate the start of the new year with the Murray family in the extraordinary setting of their farm. It was definitely the highlight of our month long trip in NZ! Their farm covers the totality of a very big private bay that starts on the top of an old volcano and slopes towards their... More

Our stay with Sue and Murray was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. We enjoyed the delicious meals, the evening under the stars, the walk to coastal beach to see the seals and yes the heavenly views from the veranda. Thank you Sue and Murray for the conversations and a wonderful relaxing time. Nancy and AL

Hi Murray & Sue! Thanks for the memorable experience in Paua Bay with the exciting history that you told us but yet you're living such a humble life! Well I would say, if you have the time, you should totally take some time off to Paua Bay cause it's an experience that you wouldn't get from other places! I was... More

Words cannot describe what a special time we had at Paua Bay. Our children loved it, and Murray and Sue were so welcoming we felt like part of the family. Our stay at Paua Bay was truly the higlight of our 2 week Sth Island tour!
