Stayed for a night over long weekend in June in one of the ground floor studio units (which is in a separate wing from the main building where the hostel is). Chattels were tired but place was tidy and not noisy at all. For the price we paid, it was a fair deal. Very close to supermarket. Friendly staff.
This is the worst kept motel I have found in New Zealand. It is used by shearers, - which is fine, but don't take your family there on holidays !!
The rooms were small and not very clean ,
The furniture were old and the bed sheets, curtains, etc were faded, the towels looked like the dog had slept on...

Dont stay here, it's awful! We found the plumbing noisy, and the other. Tenants very rough. All up it wasn't the kind of place that nice people stay.
We had no problems staying here. The pricing is cheap but the rooms are still nice and comfortable. Not first class stuff but you don't expect that. main thing is the service and staff are very friendly.
