our group of 12 stayed overnight here. Three -bedroomed units all adjoined at the back of a wide deck with views over looking Kaka Point. Great spot for a group BBQ. Wonderful service. BBQ was all ready for us to use. Very friendly hosts and all too willing to advise us on our stops as we progressed through the Catlins.

Other reviewers have said it all. This is not a five star establishment but it is clean, tidy and has all the essentials you need. Proprietors are helpful, friendly and the perfect hosts. A perfect based from which ot explore the northern end of the Catlins, or just to relax.

We stayed at Kaka Point Motel for 1night for a weekend getaway in a spa unit. It was clean, tidy and modern. We enjoyed our short stay, the sunshine and great views. The walks in the area are great (lighthouse) The owners were helpful and friendly.
