I was staying next door,Sri Isan2,very basic,but only 200 baht.The main hotel seems to cater to the more elite class of Thais.Dressed well,suit pants and clean,tipping does not seem to help.The food is very good,if your willing to go up to the desk repeatedly like a beggar and your o.k with being treated like a chump.

We got a small but nice and clean room with two beds and breakfast (not so great) for just over 500 bath per night. Very friendly staff. Location great with some nice bars/restaurants just a few minutes away down by the river. Very good value for money.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, beds comfortable, room clean, staff attentive and helpful. Value for money! One complaint, coffee is awful but if you enjoy rice soup for breakfast it's easy to skip the coffee! The western breakfast choice is limited and very basic.
