The rooms felt very unclean. Also it is a 25 minute walk to town and 30 to the harbour if you are going to White Island. There are a lot of better standard places on this strip of hotels

I can live without tv but hate when a place advertises something and don't provide it, sky tv is not just a couple of poorly tuned in relays from the office decoder. was the case in both rooms. Lamps in room didn't work and had a healthy amount of dust on it. Cheap, but nasty.

We stayed at the Cortez last night. The room had a spa bath, very comfy beds and I had no problems with the Microwave.
