After touring around North Island in December, our last motel was Colonial Cottages in Coromandel Town. What a fabulous place and the cottage was perfect, I could live there! Had a very nice and relaxing time at the motel. Very clean and although it was a bit out of town it was easy walking distance if you didn't want to drive

Warm, freindly staff, helpful and knowledgeable regarding local activities (we're keen hikers). The unit we were in was very clean, comfortable, warm and very quiet. We stayed here recently with children. The cottages are lovely on the outside, inside they are standard motel - but perfect for children as you are not worried about knocking over vases or the like. We spent two nights in this lovely town. The motel was a bit out of town but fine if you have a car. The host was very friendly and informative. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a quiet situation surrounded by pretty well kept gardens. We would stay there again very happily.
