I stayed at Manor Barn for three nights whilst in the village for a family wedding. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a rest and a base for exploring this gorgeous countryside. The room was beautiful and warm with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Cari was a magnificent hostess and made delightful breakfasts and... More

Stayed at Manor Barn only one evening this past November, but it was outstanding! Cari Sorby was a gracious hostess and very helpful in recommending and reserving a wonderful place for dinner. Our bedroom was large and comfortable, with all the amenities. Our companion couple also enjoyed the Manor Barn immensely. Very lovely common sitting room and the English breakfast... More

Manor Barn B&B must be the best B&B I have ever stayed in. It is quite simply beautiful. If you book a stay here you will not be dissapointed, we are already planning a repeat visit. The B&B part of this property is a seperate annexe so you get a lounge/dining room 2 bedrooms, each with en-suite & use of... More

I stayed at Manor Barn with my family for 5 nights in June 2012 and we found everything was exceptional and would recommend a detour to stay at this charming location.Cari our hostess looked after us marvellously and nothing was too much trouble. In addition to a large bedroom there is a large drawing room/ dining room exclusively for guests.... More

Gorgeous B&B, quintessential English and everything you could want for a stay in Dorset. Its rare to find a place that you feel even more comfortable in than in your own home but this is it. Stunning classic decor, quality furnishings and accessories (white company all the way!) plus an amazing breakfast served to suit your needs. All the character... More

Stay in B&B – you have to be kidding. Only a close friend’s recommendation allowed me to try this place. This one defies the rules. Boutique hotel 5 star standard, exceptionally welcoming hosts who suffered my car alarm, dogs and child with humour and grace. Two lovely bedrooms and large sitting room make this a very attractive destination if you... More

When you are guests staying with Cari and Peter Sorby you are guaranteed a warm welcome and stylish hospitality. Our short visit to Dorset was made to re-discover long lost locations as an WWII evacuee, and to discover the wonders of Bath and Stourhead, as well as the coastline of Swanage and Lulworth, and as we found all are within... As I am always reading reviews, I thought it was about time I contributed! I have just come back from a visit to Dorset in the UK, and stayed at Manor Barn in Child Okeford. What a lucky find! Everything was perfect, from the beautiful crisp linen to the most comfortable luxurious beds and the most delicious breakfasts with home-made... More
