We tried out the restaurant for lunch and were very happy. The service was friendly and fast, the food was good. We will definitely come back. There is a free car park in front of the hotel. There are lots of attractions nearby.

Clean & tidy throughout. Friendly personnel. Pleasant location. A couple of quality beers available (but bigger choice would be nicer ;o) Large restaurant and terrace directly overlooking the river, I suspect it gets busy in summer (but was very quiet on an April Wednesday).

A great location for visiting Appeltern Gardens. Food and drink is very good, but even better is the mini golf and bar billiards. They have a wonderful terrace overlooking the water where you can enjoy a meal or a drink. The only problem is the shape of the upstairs bedroom ceilings. The Dutch barn style means if you're tall you need to remember to duck in the middle of the night.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Very clean hotel & rooms- I suspect plenty to do if you were visiting as a tourist - a great location with lots of cycling, boating & walking opportunities. My room had a balcony- it was spacious with comfy beds & lovely & quiet. I ate both nights in the restaurant- the food was excellent particularly the steak and the staff were really helpful. Buffet breakfast with a good selection of hot & cold and a lot of choice with warm bread & pastries. Helpful reception staff. Really liked this hotel & would definitely stay again.

We decided on a Friday to visit the Keukenhof gardens and my spouse found this hotel online and booked it. The price was good and they had the room we needed for four people. It is located on the banks of the river and has wonderful views with a windmill just down the street!!!! There was a small issue with the room being set up correctly when we arrived (which was only about 7 hours after it was booked) and the staff was so helpful in getting the other beds set up and were apologetic. This was just the begining...the staff could not have been nicer every time we talked to them and interacted in any way...not just certain staff - all of the staff. We met the owner upon arrival and his spouse on the day we checked out...they built this hotel from the ground up and have done an amazing job. They set the tone for the establishment and they have set up a wonderful tone - all of the staff is friendly, helpful and ensures that you are happy and well taken care of. As we do not speak Dutch there were no communications issues, all of the staff speak English very well and do not make you feel bad that you do not speak the local language. The breakfast was amazing and the bar food it good (did not like the bitter balls but it is a local food..not good) but the cheese plate was great, the beer was cold and the sodas made my kids very happy!!! Oh, and there is a bowling alley in the basement with a bar and you cannot hear it in your room..but it was a lot of fun!!!! Overall this is a great place with a wonderful staff and we were there in April so it must be even more amazing during the summer!!!!…

we went to this restaurant with the whole family. We sat on the terrace with a view over the water. The children can play at the nice playground. The only thing we didn't like is that people are smoking at the terrace, we really don't like that! Food is good at a good value. There is a children menu and there is a good choice of meat and fish. We didn't sleep at the hotel

The hotel is very charming and clean and the room we stayed in was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is on the banks of the river with lovely views of the water. We really found the staff to be very helpful and the service was always really good. Eating breakfast overlooking the river was lovely. Definitely we would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in the middle of the countryside, very quiet, but only 15 minutes drive to Tiel. It sits right next the water and there are boat trips in the summer - I guess it is very popular in summertime (in Feb/Mar it is quiet). It is decorated in old Dutch style, and has some interesting pictures and artefacts around the bar/lounge. The rooms are comfortable and clean (can be a bit cold in the Winter, I think) and spacious. There is free internet but it seems a bit intermittent (drops off occasionally). The evening food is really very good and breakfast is simple but nice. The staff are all excellent - very friendly and professional! There are other facilities (snooker, bowling) and lots of walking and cycling in the area. The room rates make this a great value hotel.

We stayed in the bridal suite which was wonderful - breakfast for the whole group was included and plentiful. Wonderful place to eat drink and be merry.

Stayed here for 5 nights, good value for money, the rooms are basic but clean, the breakfast was nice and plentiful. Ate an evening meal in the restaurant overlooking the river, the food was ok, slightly overcooked but nicely presented, service was good, would stay again if in the area.
