We had a wonderful stay of 3 nights at the pousada de Dom Joao IV at Vila Vicosa just before Christmas 2012. This is a beautiful pousada with great rooms, great beds and a lovely terrace with table and chairs. Everything is well maintained. The breakfast is great and the staff is very nice and attentive. One of the best pousadas in Portugal.
