This place is a real find - one of those original places that has a unique atmosphere that comes from being run by people with a passion for what they do. Not the height of luxury accommodation, but warm, friendly, relaxing, great location and amazing food. Dying to go back - great craic!

We stayed in the Hawai room, it was nice. Every room is nicely decorated. Excellent pizza, beautiful house wine, lovely pastries... Pure lush. Nice breakfast too, the chef had baked a 'far breton' which is one of the best pastry in the world and Chef Bruno's one is the 'bestest'. Very accomodating owner and staff, pleasant and funny, sharing their... More

Arrived starving and seeking food for nine people at about 9.30 pm. The kitchen had been closed since 9pm but the chef kindly agreed to rustle up some pizzas. The pizzas were yum and the service was brilliant. We didn't stay in the guesthouse but as we are planning a group trip to Achill in a few months Francois offered... More

Maybe the bes place all over Ireland to pratice water sports. I really enjoy the few days with my friends and with sun and warm wind. A Fun Pure Magic team, a good food and some perfect spots where you can progress over and over on the lake or on the sea and the waves.

This is a great spot for a light evening meal in scenic and comfortable surroundings. Pizzas are cooked to order and are excellent. Service was terrific and friendly. Patrons can bring their own wine for a corkage fee of €3.5o pp. children can play in the enclosed garden.

This establisment is well worth a visit. Its simple, fun, excellent food and really is an excellent bolt hole when you are around the beautiful Island of Achill. A booking seems necessary when you are in Achill for the busy periods but it is well worth the call. I visit Achill Island regularly and love the walks both on the... More

Just back from a fantastic weekend in Pure Magic, Achill. A great spot to chill out, as a base for activities (we did the Greenway cycle) and to chow down on some seriously good food (recommend the pizzas - they are awesome). The hotel is really lovely, with cosy open fires in the restaurant and bar. The accommodation is great... More

This is probably one of the best 'hostels' I've stayed in! It's defiantly more like a really nice hotel. Our room was spacious, ensuite, and the bed was really comfortable. We stayed in The Achill Room -apparently they have different themed rooms. Before we visited, we thought the price was a bit much compared to other places -but you really... More

I wasn't blown away when I first entered Puremagic, but was very happy with the room as it was clean, tidy and fresh. You will be too as long as you're not expecting The Four Seasons. Great breakfast - cooked to order and with care. Full irish, French toast or an omelette - the guys did it all for us.... More
