I spent a week here and it was great. Nice but primitive wooden huts just 50m from a beautyful beach. No AC but you don´t need it in the huts becouse they are quite airy. Attached bathrooms are simple but ok. Nice staff, good food and cold beer. I would definitely come here again.

Stayed here three nights in July. Tatatuka was fully booked so we decided to book Driftwood. It wasn't a mistake – we really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are a little basic and there is very little sound control, but otherwise it's a really nice place to stay. The bamboo huts are small but cute, and for PHP 700... More

Sugar Beach is the perfect getaway from urban life. If that's what you are in for, Driftwood Village will definitely be the place of you. The Swiss-Filipino owners created a very welcoming and unique place. Every nipa-hut has it's own individual style and there is not one built like another. This and the beautiful, lush gardens make the whole place... More

A decent, no-frills backpacker's place. For the younger crowd who wants to party all night, and wake-up late. An o.k. restaurant, served with smiles. No real concern for service, extreme cleanliness, or clocks. I personally could not find anyone awake or sober before 10 a.m., on either the one night I stayed there, or the three other nights we stayed... More

Driftwood Village is stunning. For once the Lonely Planet made a good recommendation - it really is a Robinson Crusoe-esque hideaway. We spent 3 nights and left relaxed and happy. It's perfect if you want to escape the hustle of the big resorts and the noise of the party people. It's a place to relax, enjoy nature and share conversations... More

Our family had a wonderful time at driftwood village. The service was excellent with very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating staff and owners. The food was very deliciously prepared, the serving was very generous, and very affordable. The village is an ideal place to relax and get away from the noise and bustle of the city. It also offers activities which are... More

this place is a great hideaway, especially to have a rest from traveling for a few days. very comfortable nipa huts for good value. However, found the swiss and german crowd of people, including the owner Peter to be very cliquey. Peter himself is not a welcoming guy and appears to be rude at most times. This gave the atmosphere... More

This is a great beach for swimming which is pretty rare in this part of the world, although not white so not breathtakingly beautiful. The accommodation was comfortable. The showers were hot. There were hammocks and loungers and other things to play with. What really stands out though is the food. The food was really, really good and reasonably priced.... More

When can we go back? We were looking for a remote place, out of the normal Americal tourists spots and found this jewel on the internet - were not disappointed. Had a wonderful time, the folks were wonderful. Cant wait to get back!
