Spotlessly clean, modern facilities with warm, personal touches. The room was slightly small but there was a common area right outside with snacks, laptop, books etc which gave us more space. We stayed in the Macaulay room, which had the most beautiful view over the town and Lake Tekapo (and, incidentally, the best shower we have encountered in any hotel or B&B!). Peter was such a lovely, welcoming host - he gave us all the information we could ask for about places to eat in town and walks to go on.... More

We only planned to stay for 1 night and wished we could stayed for longer. The facilities in the cottage was good and modern. We stayed 4 nights in the cottage in the summer period. The cottage is modern, very well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. It is a short walk to town. And Pete and Jill are very friendly. The only slight downside is that the lounge's large windows overlook the street. That said, we definitely recommend this place.

Everything were very clean and comfortable. We could receive Pete and Jill 's hearty welcome like Japanese "OMOTENASHI" mind very well. We were not good at speaking English, but they were very kind and helpful. Excellent breakfast, that was also recommendable point for us. Comfortable, clean and equipped cottage/house ideally positioned between Queenstown and Christchurch. Hosts were informative and helpful and suggested restaurants. Nice touch to have boardgames and books to read.

I can't rate our stay with Pete and Jill highly enough. Exceptional standard in everything from tea to breakfast and the crispy sheets in between. Amazing view and wonderful hospitality . Pete and Jill are full of local information and are keenly interested in your story.
