My husband stayed at Advocado Sunset in Nov 2011 and it was a most enjoyable stay. The Guesthouse itself is beautiful and the view over the mountain side & woodland is spectacular. The sunset was increadible, very peaceful. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. We spent one night in the Daintree Room. The surrounding area of Tamborine Mountain is... More

We have visited twice now with 2 x sets of family, and both times have been amazing. Our family agreed that this is a super special place to stay. We had the Safari and Daintree rooms both times, which both have stunning views, and are extremely roomy and comfortable. Cheryl and Richard are fantastic hosts, and made us feel so... More

Without question, the only thing that surpassed the ample and luxorious facilities, was the freindliness of the retreats owners. They were such an accomading couple. Note the views from this place, were amazing - terraces all round the property over looked acre of land on top of mount tambourine. I have to say that this is not a "B&B", this... More

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and all I can say is that It is the most wonderful place on Mt. Tamborine! Richard and Cheryl and the most wonderful hosts and serve up a fantastic breakfast - they made us feel at home as soon as we walked in the door. We stayed in the Safari Room and... More

Stayed in the Oriental suite & was a very good clean large room. Nice colours, decor & little touches...not to forget 2 plasma tvs. Checked out the Safari & Daintree rooms when we left & they had a bigger spa bath & wonderful views. The hosts were very accomodating & friendly & seemed genuinely interested in you. They took pride... More

Thanks for a great, and also informative review. I think you have described our B&B so well and your comments really describe our place to a tee. Cheryl and I have deliberated often about the breakfast setup and whether guests would be happier sitting on separate tables but our dinning table is such a magnificent piece of furniture which goes... Our family choose Avocado Sunset for our family getaway to celebrate our Mum's 70th Birthday. From the moment we arrived, Richard and Cheryl made us all feel so incredibly welcome and relaxed. Their attention is warm, friendly yet professional. They were incredibly accommodating and encouraged us to feel as though their home was ours. They even let us "borrow" their... More

From the warm welcome right up until the sad goodbye (I didn't want to leave!), Richard and Cheryl made my boyfriend and I's stay comfortable and relaxing. I felt right at home with the right amount of privacy and pampering provided by the friendly hosts. As my first bed and breakfast experience they've set the bar very high, I won't... More

Cheryl and Richard, you are the perfect hosts. Avocado Sunset is the perfect place for a romantic getaway and it far exceeded our expectations. As a surprise trip, it was perfect. The complimentary breakfast is fantastic with fresh, local ingredients. Silent partners Florrie and Louis are beautiful and a delight to have a play with. The Safari Room is truly... More

The reviews are all true. We stayed for two nights with our daughter and son in law and for one night with our son-before his wedding. What a wonderful welcoming B & B. Richard and Cheryl are brilliant hosts, they are warm and friendly and help to make Avocado Sunset the perfect place to stay on the mountain. The views... More
