trasierra is a fantasy. from the moment of arrival, the staff and surroundings make a visit unforgettable. the decor is utterly gorgeous, and at the same time utterly comfortable. the bedding is sumptuous, the food uber-local and divine.understand that this is not a marriott/hilton experience. it's as though you've been invited to the country estate of lord and lady some-one-or-other.... Spent three days at Trasierra and both my husband and I wanted to move in. Glorious! We had the room named "Nueva" - an upper corner w/ a porch overlooking red tile roofs in one direction and towards the Moorish cathedral tower in the other. Impeccable furnishings, luxurious touches - the robes, the water bottle cozies, the tissues tied in... More

This is my third visit to Trasierra and I hope not the last. If you enjoy beautiful landscapes, fabulous food, creative interiors and deliciously crisp bed linens, this could be the place for you. Conversely, if you crave in room telephones, TV's and ipod docking stations and a fast pace of life, this place is wasted on you. I've visited... More

Totally fell in love with the Owners and the place as a whole. To me this is a good description of real Luxury. Totally relaxed, Amazing home cooking with organic foods, Fresh air, wild nature, very confortable rooms and very quiet and peaceful. I intended to do some visites around the area but never managed to leave the place

I must state at once that my trip to Trasierra was actually back in May 2009, there fore some of my criticisms may well have been addressed by now. If so, I apologise in advance, but I've always meant to post my comments about my visit and have finally got round to it now. Basically, we were a bit disappointed... More

Actually our visit was in 2008 . It is a bed and breakfast, elegant and quiet. They don't overwhelm you with in your face service, but they are always helpful. We were treated like kings and we are no one special. If you want to experience this place look at the old photos during the restoration took place. The story... More

Our group was greeted at the end of a long travel day with an open bar and open hearts. The place is lightly staffed, perhaps because late season, perhaps because we were one group essentially taking over the entire place for a couple of nights. All that having been said, the place was clean, bright, beautiful, and everything was ready... More

Great atmosphere, sort of cross between rambling family house and boutique hotel. They served dinner at various locations including one night up in the hills. I rarely saw staff and yet the rooms were very well presented,

Trasierra is an absolute jewel and a rare find! Im thrilled that I discovered it. Lovingly restored by the talented Charlotte Scott , every room is uniquely furnished as if i was in the best country house hotel in England...but it's in Spain! This is my second visit- the first was in the summer when I swam in the pool,... More

I have not actually stayed at La Trasierra, I did not have the 'pleasure', as it was evident after some email communication with Charlotte the owner, that she thought us apparently not in her league! After becoming engaged in Granada in the Summer of 2007, I wanted to plan my wedding for the following year. Charlotte started off very helpful,... More
