We went to a wedding here april 2012. A fab location and what a picturesque location. The wedding was fantastic from start to finish. Reception drinks and appitizers fab, the main meal was superb and a taste sensation with wines to accompany each course that just highlighted the food so well. The staff and service was first class.A fantastic day. We stayed at Villa Pitiana early September 2011 - it was the third and last leg of our two week honeymoon in Italy. We rented a car in Rome and drove to the Villa - make sure you have a good GPS and know some basic Italian as we did end up getting lost closer to the Villa but managed... More

I had the chance to organise a wedding at Villa Pitiana last September and despite we went through some initial organisation issues during the interregnum of the old and the new event manager, the feedback from my clients was fantastic. I've read some of the bad reviews this Villa collected in the last few years and I felt the need... More

One night in this hotel made me wonder how did it get to be rated "luxury hotel"? The list of shortcomings would be endless. One sound advice: this place is awful, despite the beautiful location, due to poor management. Stay away from it, period.

We held our wedding a Villa Pitiana at very short notice and it was nothing short of perfect all thanks to the expertise of Emanuela and her team. Her eye for detail was perfection and nothing was a problem. Everything ran like clockwork as Emanuela promised and I was nothing short of delighted! The food was superb and suited everyone... More

Very interesting place. Villa is an understatement, more CASTLE. If you're looking for a 100% interesting / unique place, Pitiana is it. Food / Chef: Very Good, and Chef Mario is most helpful, and the two early am servers are fabulous Service: Prompt, and courteous Rooms: Unique, and interesting Business / Internet Services: Good, but internet needs a constant "wireless... We stayed here for 2 days on our journey through Italy recently and it was the best accommodations that I think I have ever had or close to them. This place was, first of all, a historical gem with a story (it was a convent first, then a farm for a while), with wonderful service, good food (awesome breakfast for... More

Recently went to Florence and decided to get out of the city. Villa Pitiana is a great break from the city. Spacious room, albeit that the loft area was a bit dark. Spacious grounds with a good 2KM walk. Make sure you have clear directions to Villa. The pizza shop in nearby Donnini was GREAT !!!

My wife and I stayed here for four days at the end of June. We were originally booked in for a week, but were significantly disappointed and decided to leave early. We booked into Villa Pitiana because my wife had stayed there with her sister about 15 years ago and were looking for a nice place to relax for a... More

Villa Pitiana is the sort of majestic setting you see in romantic chick-flicks. It’s a mansion (we called it a castle) from hundreds and hundreds of years ago tucked away in the hills. There are old, faded art pieces on the walls and artefacts in the rooms and hallways. My wife and I honeymooned there for 4 nights and we... More
