Stayed at the Highfield House in December. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived after an early morning flight and we were allowed to check in very early. The location was excellent as Trim Castle and the river walk was at the base of the hill. The town of Trim was filled with so many interesting and excellent... More

Stayed in this Guest House after Christmas 2011 with 5 other family members. Beautiful location in a very historic town. Rooms were very spacious, had high ceilings and full of character. Each room appears to be decorated in a different colour scheme. Whilst the owners were not there when we stayed, the hostess - Diane was fantastic - very friendly.... More

We stayed our last two nights in Ireland at the Highfield House and it was one of our very favorites. We had a nice view of the Yellow Steeple and river with beautiful flowers to frame it. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic! One of the best in our entire trip and we had many,... More

We enjoyed our stay at Highfield House - substantial breakfasts, warm hosts, comfortable bed. But, what's not immediately clear from the website and reviews is that the house is on the corner of a busy intersection. It does have good views of the castle and a lovely garden - if you stay in a front rooms. If you draw the... More

Lovely place to stay. We had a very spacious room at first, but switched to a smaller when we realized the TV was not working because another guest had accidentally taken home the remote. Very pretty place, very clean and nice hosts - who made us a great breakfast! We were even given "donkey" food so that our 3 yr... More

After leaving Dublin we headed for Trim and were welcomed very warmly by the owners daughter with a cup of tea and fresh scones. Highfield Guest House is situated very close to Trim castle and there are lovely walks to be taken around the castle. Our room was at the back of the house overlooking a small picturesque garden. The... More

We had the entire place for the Solheim Cup Sept. 19-26 ( 18 people in all) and what a wonderful stay. Hosts were so friendly and helpful and worked entirely with our schedule. Breakfast was fantastic especially the scones. Great location and views and free computer and internet available. Rooms varied in size but very comfortable. Highly recommend! More

We stayed at Highfield House only two nights. The room (#9) was clean and fairly quiet. The B&B is well appointed and the staff were friendly. There is a beautiful garden; location is excellent. In our room, practicality was sacrificed in favor of somewhat overblown decor. There were no towel racks or even a hook on the door in the... More

This is an awesome place to stay. Great location, only 200 meters from the castle and across the roundabout from a bus stop. Room decor was sort of Louis 14,15,16 and something else but did work. Room was large and well cared for. We were on the back of the B&B so road noise was non existent. Breakfast was superb.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Highfield House during our recent trip to Ireland. We were able to stay here two nights rather than one due to a flight delay. This gave us more time to enjoy the many things to see in this part of Ireland. It was a treat. The B&B was just down the road from... More
