Croatia is a beautiful place and we enjoyed taking in the culture, sampling the food and marvelling at the scenery. I did not know what to expect from the hotel Orphee after reading some of the rewievs, but my husband and I were pleasently surprised, the hotel complex is large and wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful, very good atmosphere, excellent position, nice view, and the most important thing ; not too expensive !

Hotel Orphee, Plat, Croatia. Location: on the sea front. Pebble beach short walk. Mostly rocky otherwise, however, wonderfull views to the sea, awfull views inland (bullet ridden wrecked buildings). hotel was just outside Mlini on a quiet headland. There is a regular sea bus service during the day which gives you acccess to various places along the coast,including dubrovnic. Not easy to get out and about on an evening as you would need a taxi which can be expensive. However the hotel did provide live music on some nights.... More
