I stayed at Paraa Lodge 2 nights and wished it were more. The location was good for safari, The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds were well maintained and very relaxing. Elephants can be seen from the veranda. Food was good in the restaurant and service was good but our take-away lunch was awful. So beware. I would go... More

I think I coluld stay at Paraa for a year! The rooms werw nice and clean, and they looked just like the pictures at their website. Our room had balcony with a fantastic wiev over the Nile, even though it was the cheapest option. The food was excellent, and the indian chef came out to meet the guests at every... More

Arrived here after a rugged few days and appreciated the super clean rooms, plenty of hot water, and terrific restaurant during our two-night stay. Wifi in lobby. A previous reviewer said their A/C didn't work but I don't think there is A/C at all--certainly not in our room and it isn't mentioned on their website. Would have liked screens on... More

We stayed two nights in this fantastic hotel whilst on a safari trip. We were 2 adults and 3 children and were really impressed with the friendliness and welcome we received. The Chef even cooked a special meal for our three children on their last night. The food was outstanding too, with a set menu for lunch and dinner and... More

After staying in some great private secluded lodges during our vacation in Uganda, this hotel was the last point before Kampala. This is the only hotel we stayed in, others were all rooms/hut/tents scattered around a central area. Having a flat terrain to walk around was a welcome change. The rooms are very nice; we had a connecting room for... More

Great location! Sits directly on the Nile and you can hear the hippos calling while you swim. It is considered "luxury" but I guess that's a bit relative...The rooms were comfortable enough, even though our AC was a bit on the brink. The nice thing is Paraa is considered very affordable for East African Safari standards and the food is... More

There are not many true luxury accommodation options in the Uganda tourist circuit, but Paraa certainly gives it a good effort. It is still a cut below your safari lodges in other parts of East Africa, but they have done a good job and provide you with a sufficiently cush, comfortable stay. Dining is more of a practical matter and... More

I was in Kampala for some charity work, and during the weekend I took the 4.5 hour drive up to this Murchison Falls, and after being and dirt roads with a lot of potholes, this place was like a seeing a mirage! The service was great, the food was Amazing, and it had one of the best pools with swim... More

Walking through the Lodge generates images of African adventure, and sits on the banks of the Nile, just down from Murchison falls. You are surrounded by African wildlife, exotic animals, and plants. The food and service were great, the nightly dinner service always surpassed our expectations. There is so much to see it is sensory overload, truly a great place.

I have always tried to avoid hotels in game parks, for the good reason that they are almost always very disappointing. On a recent trip to Murchison Falls though I decided to try Paraa, primarily because of their location on the northern bank of the Nile, which meant I could be in the reserve early in the day without waiting...
