Not great but could be worse. You don't have much to choose from out there so can't be picky!

Desert Oaks is a very pleasant spot to stay if you're in a campervan. With shady, grassed sites, spacious amenities blocks, playground and pool, it was a welcome relief after the bare gravel and cramped bathrooms we encountered at other campgrounds on the Adelaide to Alice Springs route.

All stuff in the room was old. Price doesn't correspond to the service.

spent a night here on our way to ayers rock, this should be the biggest & convenient roadhouse throughout the journey. Facility is good and the environment is well maintained. We had dinner in the pub, warm atmosphere and our kids enjoyed it. If you have to consume here, be expecting the 'prices in outback' for the food/fuel. On accommodation... More

We had to stop here as we would not make it from Uluru to Alice Springs by sun down and you really shouldn't drive at night in the outback! We went for the backpackers room as we were broke. It was the scariest place I have ever stayed in. It is a shed with a door wide open for rats,... More

Stayed here on way to Darwin and on the way back. On the way up, I got intermittently scalded and then frozen trying to have a morning shower. On the way back from Darwin, all that was available was cold water. A number of campers and caravanners complained. We spoke to the person on reception, who claimed no one had... More

We booked in to the powered campsite here when we realised that we would never make it to Uluru from Alice before sunset (we'd been strongly advised and quite rightly so against night time driving). The place is in the middle of no where (by definition.. its the outback!) and is part of a huge farm range. There are motel... More

We stayed in the Caravan Park for the night. The showers were reasonable and the park itself was fine. A great place to stop for a night. The hotel was recommended to us for a meal. So we gave it a go. The meals were great, reasonably priced and the staff were so friendly. It is a great country pub.... More
