A Groupon deal. Enjoyed the scenery, the breakfast basket, the walking trails, the swim at dusk, visiting the barn and the very comfortable room with balcony. A very relaxing time for sure.

Myself and one other made the trip from Halifax to Scotsburn the last week of July for one night.
I found this place through a deal that was advertised on Groupon.
This place is fantastic. It's got beautiful mountain views of the Northumberland Strait, the property is well maintained, with a few hiking and biking trails, a decent pool and...

My friend and I needed a girls night away and what a perfect pick for what we were looking for. Nestled up in the mountains with a great view, this property comes with walking trails where we nibbled on some blueberries, outside hot tub where we watched a beautiful sunset, pool, very clean rooms with coffee maker, fridge, dishes, jacuzzi,...

We stayed in room L-12 upper floor of Rock Maple Retreat. Quiet, very clean, comfortable double bed, jetted tub/shower, well equipped kitchen, great view, friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately the keys supplied would not unlock the door, the bathroom door hinges squealed, wi-fi internet signal in the room was just strong enough to sign on but not strong enough to do...

We stayed in the Maple Leaf Retreat. the room was nice and comfy. It was a cold, windy rainy evening so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor activities as much as we would like. Quiet and roomy, well lighted for reading. Limited channels on TV. Room air conditioner/heater was noisy, but otherwise a very relaxing place to be.
We stayed in Chalet #8 for one night whilst driving up to Cape Breton. This is a two bedroom chalet with a great little kitchen.
The pros:-
- Wonderful location and view.
- Having a fully functional kitchen with full size frige and stove meant we could cook a full breakfast the next morning.
- BBQ and porch were a...

This is a very nice place if you are looking to really get away out of the city. Beautiful rooms, clean, friendly staff, quiet farm atmosphere. Make sure you eat at Piper's Landing restaurant while you are here, it's fantastic! Otherwise there's not a whole lot around for dinner options so bring food and snacks.
Stonehame is a nice quiot spot outside the town of Pictou NS. I spent 3 nights there over the Christmas Holidays in December 2010. We booked the honeymoon chalet and brought along our golden retreiver. The chalet was perfect for a relaxing get-away. The kitchen was properly equiped for all your cooking needs. The wood fire place was a nice...

I stayed at this property for one night with a group of work colleagues. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We also ate breakfast in their restaurant and the food was delicious. I didn't get a chance to explore their wilderness trails, but I did enjoy walking...

My husband and I stayed at Stonehame for 3 nights while attending a family reunion/50th wedding anniversary party. We were impressed with the peace and serenity of this resort and had a lovely room overlooking the hillside where we could watch deer running between the trees. The younger family members had chalets where we had camp fires every night. The...
