Really friendly atmosphere and great staff. Good selection of beers and without doubt, the best breakfast spread I've had while staying away - and I stay away a lot for work. All in all, well worth a visit as its a beautiful area and a great pub and hotel More

This was our third visit in four years to this delightful inn on the banks of the Wye. We always have an overnight stay in the week before Christmas, when the Saracen's Head is cosy and Symonds Yat is blissfully quiet. If you're looking for full-blown luxury, this inn may not be for you. We like it because it is... More

Really accommodating staff, very attentive waitress/waiters, excellent dinner, reasonably priced. Newly refurbished room, spotless room, excellent bathroom (and great shower). Breakfast disappointing only because it didn't compare to the standard of dinner (which I will always remember), however, we were still too full to really appreciate it anyway, despite having a 3 mile jaunt down the beautiful yat before hand.... Room was brilliantly furnished, great value, clean and tidy. Bar excellent with friendly staff and good real ale! Restuarant was also excellent. Waiting staff attentive, but not ott, and the food was supberb. Finally, the location is lovely, and one of the staff will take you agross the hand-ferry for free if you are staying at the B&B (£1 if... More

Popped in here after a long weekend event nearby to celebrate how well it had all gone. Were treated to an excellent dinner in modern but rustic surroundings. The food really was great. More

My husband and I have stayed at The Saracen's Head for many years now and look forward to each visit as eagerly as the first. The rooms have been modernized to enhance the visitors' stay and we have always find our room spotless, and comfortable. We love room 10 which is an upgraded room within the main building and gives... More

We didnt stay but ate here for 5 nights. The food was lovely and the staff efficient and friendly. It was busy most nights but we had quick service non the less. I can thoroughly recommend the duck and rib eye! We stayed in forest view as it was cheaper with better views. More

Myself and partner spent one night in the Saracens Head as part of a weekend getaway and really couldn't fault it. The location is lovely, with fabulous views. The accomodation itself is more than adequate - the room we had was small, but clean and comfortable, again with the fab views. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner... More

I recently spent 3 nights in the Upper Boathouse at the Sarecens Head, which is the dearest room but well worth the extra money. It is a very large clean room with a whirlpool bath, and beautiful river views. I also used the restaurant every night and found the food and service very good. All staff were very friendly and... Had a meal last night at this hotel, which I must say is in the most beautiful location, my husband and I have been several times here for meals as we are 'locals' ie Sunday lunch which is excellent, but was dissapointed with our meal last night ,not in the quality of the meat as the sorloin steak was cooked...
