When I vacation, I'm very picky about my accommodations. So booking sight unseen, based on pictures alone, is always stressful and risky for me. And is it going to smell good? Well, after hours of research and Internet surfing, I settled on Lanciole Castle! It was a Tuscan Fairytale come true! We stayed in a portion of the renovated castle... More

We had dreams of a castle in the mountains of Italy as we took our entire family to exlore the outskirts of Northern Italy. What we had was a dungeon. No one gave us instructions on turning on the cooking gas, and the hot water heater was broken. Since our trip was in Late October, the nights were very cold,... More

We booked the entire property to celebrate my husband's birthday and the villa was the ideal spot to experience true Tuscan living. We were a total of 8 people (including our 3 children) and could have comfortable fit 3 more friends if schedules had permitted. This is not the place for you if you're looking for night life or o... This is a lovely place to stay in the Tuscan hills. Gloria, the owner is very helpful and is great company and made us very welcome. Four of us stayed in the Elf property for a week in May. The property itself is great and has bags of character. The views over the valley are wonderful and it is incredibly... More

We stayed almost the whole month of August...we loved the cool evenings... Italy is very hot and humid in August and it was nice to return to a decent sleeping temperature, even without A/C. Lance Manor is charming... but with age comes mustiness (especially in the largest bedroom). The pool was not the highlight of our stay, but we were... More

Our stay at Lance Manor was wonderful. The owner greeted us with a bottle of local wine, pasta and fresh fruit. We enjoyed the cozy surroundings and the ancient natural stone structures. The narrow streets of the community provided adventures and new experiences with each walk we took through them. The owner, Gloria, was helpful in terms of events, directions... More

This is a wonderful destination for a relaxed, away from it all holiday. It is located up in the mountains of Tuscany, and the air is so fresh. The thick medieval walls of the house protect the house from the summer heat outside. From the terrace, there are fantastic views for miles around. The road to the property winds for... More

We were so disappointed with this place -- the so-called "castle" is a very small, pokey house that is divided into two rental accommodations. We rented the whole place, but renters unknown to each other would be squashed together on the shared terrace. The rooms are tiny, claustrophic and cobweb-ridden. There are mice in the kitchen and the bedding smells... More

Many thanks, for the review, positives and not. I am always happy to support any guests that need my help during their setting, and find the best solution to any problem can have. Let me know after two full weeks of vacation that were perfect during the setting but after their departure everything turned to be terrible, just because, I... More

This is a quaint mountain top villa, that is clean and beautiful!! The road to get here from pescia takes about 20 minutes and is true mountainside driving, but is well worth it. What a view from the Manor. Gloria, the owner is wonderful and attentive, and kind. She welcomes you with a basket of goodies. The house is clean... More
