Not sure why all the reviews here are negative for Pyrgaki - we stayed in mid September 2010 and found it to be lovely for the price that we paid. Paros was the third island that we visited and all our accomodation was booked through a greek travel agent. We were booked in to the Alkyon hotel originally but upon arrival were told that the hotel was full and we would be transferred to their sister hotel Pyrgaki as an upgrade! Can't rate experience with hotel; we booked a room for early October, got confirmation number and when we got there the Hotel was CLOSED down for the season. Cab driver tried to contact owner, no answer. Luckily he found us a nice place. PS: cab fare was only 5 Euros from the port. Not per person.
