Stayed for 4 nights with dogs over long wknd in Herford. The Dohm Hotel is easy to access (with free on-site parking) and right in the centre of town. I get the point about the restaurant and rooms but the hotel has quite a charming old German feel about it - it certainly is not run down and the rooms...

The Dohm is a pleasant enough hotel at first glance. However at second glance it starts to come apart. Threadbare, badly stained carpets in the public areas. Staff doubling up as reception, bar staff and ??? whatever they were doing when you wanted another drink. I'd love to tell you what the restaurant was like or the quality of the...

We stayed here for 2 nights while passing through..the hotel is fine, it has a good parking area out the back and more or less in the centre of the town with cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
