We stopped here on our way to England (so as to catch the first ferry out) and were delighted with this place. Big spotless room, friendly service and even a bottle of sparkling wine in the room as it was Valentines Day. The meal in the restaurant was superb and we plan on coming back very soon!

We tried out De Panne because its less than a half hour drive from the Dunkirk ferry. We were not disappointed. Lovely little seaside town with a wide sandy beach & promenade. Loads of decent bars & restuarants for a weekend break. The Maxim is perfect for such a break, tucked-away off the main street, but still only 2 minutes... More

This is a small hotel, without "any pretention" as also written in the review below. It's simple and easy going, but offers everything you need.
