“Good base in Bad Goisern Austria”

Easy short train ride to Hallstatt (at Hallstatt station take boat across lake to Hallstatt). Take the Obertraun gondola lift and hike the mountain trails, see ice caves. Great breakfast. Short walk to train station.

We have just returned from one night in this hotel on 1st September 2007. We came to town for the Austrian Scottish bag piping competition. At 64€ at night seemed a nice, cheap option. The hotel looks OK from the outside. Inside, it looks a little run down and tired. What made us unhappy is that the bedsheets were covered... More
