A decent homestay, away from the city located amidst green surroundings. Value for money and the staff were friendly and co-operative. Do call them before reaching here, since mobile signal are bit weak at the place. You can view the hill surroundings from a telescope which is available at request. Aravindan.K
I stayed in Vanavihar Homestay where food was good, sight seeing was awesome. One must stay in a home stay, estates, or resort in Madikeri to feel this green, cold hill station. Home stays are really cheap and good. I recommend this place Vanavihar Homestay to all my friends who have a real thirst for nature.
The food given is of very poor quality. Can't compare to even those available on roadside. The owner has no knowledge of what a homestay is all about. The room is not that clean ( dont go by photos advertised in the website). Overall I would advice travellers to avoid this homestay.
