We were booked in to this motel .but when my wife saw the unit she said to me ,we are not staying here. so we had to pay a $99 cancellation fee that i thought was a bit high.We found a place for the same price that was 200 times better. Well you live & learn .We would not recommend... More

When we drove up to Larchwood our first impression was not good at all, the lawns were very long and weeds everywhere. When we got inside half of the curtains where hanging down. There were no smoke alarms and the place was not very clean. Overall a terrible place to be promoting New Zealand.

An older establishment that needs a good spruce up. Maintance has not been kept up to date and the house keeping lets the place down. Have a check on your room to make sure everything works before settling down and that there are not tooo many cobwebs. The units are not well sound proofed.

Pretty basic but cheap as well so you get what you pay for. There isa small pool which is a point of difference. We were just here a night so it did the job - for a longer trip Id look elsewhere as the place is a bit dated.
