We went to the hacienda for a wedding, and didn't really know what to expect. We walked into the hacienda and was stunned by the sheer historic presence and beautiful surroundings! The rooms are all individual all with their own quirkiness ranging from double doors to the bathroom to waterfalls cascading down one of the walls. The beds might be... More

We had a wonderful weekend in a fairy tale place. You can choose from a wide variety of activities in the area, from not leaving the hotel at all, and really enjoy the place. It is quiet and refined, the staff is very kind and friendly. We can't wait to go back.

We visit this hacienda for dinners, not to spend the night. So I can't speak as to the hotel part really. They recently started a new visit payment system which I am not a fan of. When you enter, they give you a slip at the entrance which you must then take to the hacienda office. You must then pay... More

I will start by saying this old hacienda has only 20 suites, ranging from standard, junior, master and presidential suites. It’s a small property but very well maintained, with a good service oriented staff. Starting at the reception, with a glass of sparkling wine, we stayed at the Alamanda Presidential suite, this is truly amazing, and the romance special package... More

While the Hacienda is beautiful, we had close to $400 stolen from our room. We believe the cash was stolen over the four day period of our stay. We charged everything to the room, and only left the Hacienda once, so we weren't checking our wallets (and we weren't spending our cash). When we were packing up to leave, we... More

Great place, intimate and amazing service. I would stay for 2-3 nights, at the most. However, they screwed up our reservation so make sure you double check it with them before arriving. Also, DO NOT stay in the Luna Room. I don't believe in ghosts but I had an experience there that makes me think that there was definitely something... More

I went to this hotel with my wife to spend the weekend and were disappointed. I had great expectation from the hotel since their website shows very nice pictures. The hacienda is small, there are no too much things to do and certain parts of the hotel require maintenance. There were only three couples in the hotel and was very... More

My wife and I are Americans living in Mexico City. We wanted a nice weekend getaway at a "historic" type place. Hacienda san Gabriel was perfect. It was not as out of the way as we wanted, but it was relatively quiet, and it was walled in and gated. The grounds were excellent, and the historic buildings were intersting to... More

My husband and I had a 4-night stay at the Hacienda San Gabriel las Palmas in February. We stayed at a hacienda near Merida a few years ago and we were smitten by the experience of grandeur and elegance that a hacienda stay offers. Since then, we try to visit different haciendas every year. This is our third hacienda stay... More

We found this hacienda on Luxury Link and decided to stay there for our anniversary. We were in Cuernavaca studying Spanish at a language school for 4 weeks and used this as a get-away. Definitely would not recommend it for an extended stay. Due to the type of rooms, bugs are inevitable. Having already been in Mexico for 3 weeks,... More
