Just returned from a weekend stay here. We were a party of four families staying in the bunk barn and found the accommodation layout great- a room for each family. The barn was lovely and warm and the beds were very comfy (best I've slept on in a bunkbarn). Plenty of hot water and everything you could need in the... More

Stayed in our motorhome at the Caravan Club certificated site next to camping barn (have to be a CC member and only 5 units should be allowed). Lovely site with super open views of countryside, 5 hardstanding pitches all with electric hook up but some are narrow and quite tricky to manoeuvre onto without going onto soft grass verges. Main... We stayed in The Stable for 3 nights. It was nice and spacious and clean with most of the facilities you would expect of a cottage but at youth hostel prices. We were very impressed. Also the owner was very welcoming and friendly and we would wholeheartedly recommend The Stable to anyone looking for a base to explore The Dales.

I stayed in the little converted stable at Stackstead Farm with my brother and sister in July 2011, just a short walk from Ingleton village. We originally only booked 1 night but ended up staying for 5!!! We had everything we needed from our own shower and toilet, to a TV, oven&microwave, and separate bedroom, all in a self-contained stable... More

I've just come back from a long weekend in Ingleton with four other friends. We stayed in The Stable. I've never written a Trip Advisor review before but feel compelled to refute the reviews below - we read them before coming here and were very worried but I am pleased to report that we found them to be entirely unfounded.... I stayed at Stackstead Farm in the Stables/Barn with four other people. The accommodation was very good value - £11 pppn for a self-catered cottage that sleeps six people. Reading the previous reviews I was a little apprehensive, but once we got there I was so pleased with our choice! The accommodation is basic, but it has everything you need... More

We really enjoyed our stay at stackstead farm and were very impressed with what we got for the money - £11 a night each for comfy beds, shower, toilet, self-catering facilities and tv... whilst the location was very handy for walking into Ingleton the place was nice enough that we often chose to just stay in the stable and chill... This has obviously been written by the same people who wrote the previous negative review in reply to our management response. We stand by our previous statement and hope that there will be no more repercussions. More

TERRIBLE....We had booked to stay in the stable for 3 nights, but after arriving and shown round by the owner we moved to a different accomodation the next day...to say it was disgusting is an under statement, there was mould everywhere, the lounge carpit was filthy and the sofa was even worse, the kitchen was gross and the shower and... This review is totally false. These people were disgruntled right from the start. There was a bad atmosphere and they had been arguing. They have oviously vented all their anger on us. We were relieved when they decided not to stay, despite the fact that we argued with them about payment and they threstened to write a bad review if... More
